Workshop Overview:
Although the mid-life crisis is considered a cliche by many, there are some theories which support the notion that midlife is key to individuation, a process of self-actualization and self-awareness that contains many potential paradoxes. The midlife integration of beliefs, sensations, emotions, and intuition can often lead to confusion about one's life to date and one's goals. During this stage, people often struggle to find new meaning and purpose to their lives, but are expected to suppress their need to explore it further for fear of disrupting the status quo. This discussion explores the idea that we would be better served by being encouraged to nurture and celebrate these feelings, giving us the freedom to gain greater awareness, discover our inner truth and awaken to a renewed sense of possibility.
